On March 20, 1931, thirty men envisioned the need for fire protection in our community and organized the Pleasant Valley Community Fire Company. We gathered to celebrated 95 years on Saturday March 21, 2026 . Commissioner Joseph Vigliotti and our secretary welcomed our guests as they entered the social hall for the evening’s events. Other guests included Maryland State Firefighters Association Vice President William Faust and his wife, Carroll County Volunteer Emergency Services Association Treasurer Mary Carole Stiffler, Carroll County Sheriff’s Office Colonel David Stem with his wife and Director Michael Robinson and his wife. After a delicious meal, the program began with our memorial service to honor those lost during the past year. Pastor Sam Chamelin shared comforting memories of our senior member Ronald Walters and junior member Cash Owings. The officers of the senior company, auxiliary and junior membership were introduced. The evening celebrated our members who received awards for hours of fundraising and fire/EMS responses. We also recognized our members with over fifty years of service, life members, MSFA Hall of Fame & Carroll County Hall Fame and our military veterans. Pastor Chamelin was presented an honorary membership. Without all these members, Pleasant Valley Community Fire Company could not provide the excellent fire and EMS service to our community. Please enjoy our photos from the evening.
